Project overview
The Adeptness project consists of 8 different work packages in a timespan of three years


Requirements and framework for design-operation continuum of CPSoS and Ethic checking
Work package 1 will define the requirements, the toolchain architecture and the interface of the different microservices that allow for the design-operation continuum engineering of CPSoS and the interfaces among the methods and tools to be developed.

Research and development of reliable re-commissioning methods for CPSoS
Work package 2 will research and develop seamless methods based on continuous integration, continuous testing and continuous deployment adapted to the context of CPSoS that will allow for a reliable re-commissioning process of new software releases for operational CPSoS.

Research and development of resilience methods in operation for CPSoS
Work package 3 will focus on the research and development of methods for the resiliency of CPSoS under unforeseen conditions or when the deployed software version does not behave as expected.

Research and development for knowledge extraction from operational data
The fourth WP will aim at researching and developing novel methods for extracting knowledge by using design and operational data that will help CPSoS developers to improve the quality of their software.

Development, integration and refinement of tools and workflow proposal
The objective of the fifth WP is to adapt professional tools for design-operation continuum of CPSoS and integrate them with the objective of supporting the methods investigated in WP2, WP3 and WP4.

Use-case A – Design-operation continuum of elevators control algorithms
The objective of this WP is focused on the validation of the proposed methods and tools in the project within an industrial use-case involving large and complex elevator systems.

Use-case B – Train Control Management System Lifecycle Virtualization
The objective of this WP is focused on the validation of the proposed methods and tools in the project within an industrial use-case, from the railway domain, involving large, complex and safety-critical train control management system.

Management, dissemination, exploitation and standardization
The objectives of WP8 are dedicated to the management of the project, dissemination activities, exploitation of the project results and standardization.
